ORVIS Ultralight Convertible Wader
The Orvis Ultralight convertible wader is modern, lightweight and extremely comfortable. Constructed from proven 4-layer waterproof/breathable fabric and featuring an ingenious shoulder strap system, this wader is reinforced at the seams for added durability. Many fly fishermen dream of being able to fly fish with high-performance equipment that's easy on the eyes. The Orvis Ultralight range of equipment has been specially designed for demanding anglers who want maximum freedom of movement while staying dry.
More comfort when fishing always means more pleasure, and if Orvis has taken care to create Ultralight convertible waders it's so that the angler can concentrate on his passion and fully enjoy every fishing trip. The advantage of convertible waders is that the upper part can be lowered at waist level when the weather is hot and the water level is low. The straps of the Orvis Ultralight wader feature the new FIDLOCK SNAP magnetic fastening system, which allows the upper part of the wader to be lowered or raised in an instant.
Orvis engineers have carried out several seam strength tests to produce modern breathable waders with enhanced durability. The four-layer breathable fabric remains highly flexible, highly breathable and resists abrasion while reducing the risk of perforation.
The neoprene socks are pre-shaped to wrap the foot snugly around the wading shoes. Gaiters are integrated into the wader to protect the top of the shoes from gravel or sand intrusion. Lace hooks secure the gaiters to the shoes.
On the design side, this Orvis convertible wader features an integrated front pocket with a water-repellent YKK AquaGuard® closure. A mesh pocket is integrated inside, as is a velcro strap for an Orvis waterproof pouch (ref: 115704). A Velcro fly patch is present on the outside, with a rubber support for attaching a service button or clip. Each shoulder strap has a rubber accessory holder.
