The spool is deeper which allows it to benefit from greater capacity - The capacity of this new spool is 300m of 0.35mm. The main shaft is made of stainless steel and is far more robust than its predecessor. The Basia 45 SCW QD comes with an additional spool. The Basia 45SLD QD is manufactured in Japan to the highest quality standards.
